Biopsies

One of the most common lesions in the mouth are “fibromas”.

Fibromas are a collection of scar and connective tissue that form due to trauma and irritation. They can feel like a firm lump and often occur on the tongue, cheeks, and lips. These “bumps” can grow to a large size and cause discomfort. We can easily remove these lesions with our laser, with no need for sutures, and minimal post-operative discomfort. While most lesions that occur in the mouth are benign, we always send any tissue removed to Quest laboratory, and receive a thorough pathology report to confirm our diagnosis.
